ZX Spectrum Next Issue 3 shipping is scheduled to begin on 3rd November 2026, with the team allowing two to four weeks to complete the shipping operation.
Phoebus Dokos confirmed the start in a Kickstarter update posted on 2nd November. The first eligible backers are those who completed their pledge manager surveys and have no outstanding changes or other delivery issues.
The notice follows earlier updates on bulk transport to distribution hubs. Phoebus now gives backers a date for the next stage.
The two-to-four-week estimate concerns completion of shipping. It is not a promise of delivery to every backer within the same period. Phoebus stresses the amount of sorting and loading involved.
Backers who requested an address change or shipping hold already have their machines on hold. Phoebus says he has recorded the requests received by email, so those backers do not need to send the same information again.
He also asks people to avoid emailing both the project’s general inbox and his personal address about the same issue. Repeated messages increase the workload and delay the process.
Anyone who missed the pledge manager deadlines but emailed him by 2nd November will still receive their machine. Phoebus plans individual emails to confirm those backers’ delivery addresses and arrange payment of shipping costs.
Phoebus also asks owners to perform the Zero Day Update after their machines arrive, highlighting the software additions awaiting them.
SpriteFountain’s recent Issue 3 hardware overview covers the machine’s expanded FPGA, 4MB of standard RAM and additional SD card slot. It also follows the SAM Coupé and QL core developments discussed before this shipping announcement.
The latest shipping notice appears in the Issue 3 Kickstarter updates.
